For 13 years Amy has been the driving force behind making sure every stay is perfect at The Old Coach House, an award winning B&B based within the heart of North Yorkshire. Her passion within the hospitality industry has flourished from 12 years at the Grants Hotel in Harrogate and continues to be a true asset within the industry.
Seeing her role as a lifestyle rather than a job is something Amy feels very passionate about and to be a part of an exceptionally special destination fills her with immense pride. With every guest having a unique story behind their reason for staying at The Old Coach House, Amy creates a personal stay suited to each guest. Her trick is the ability to make everything look effortless, even with her day regularly starting at 5:30 am and finishing when all eight rooms are immaculate and ready to host our wonderful guests.
In Amy’s words, The Old Coach House is…
“The place where the discerning traveller can expect the highest quality in luxury accommodation accompanied by exceptional customer service from our small team. Nothing is too much.”
Upon your arrival be sure to visit some of Amy’s favourite spots within the grounds at the rear of the Coach House. If you look immediately up towards North Stainley Hall then your eyes will be met with the stunning water feature in the lake, and the true beauty of the Georgian Hall in the background. If you have booked for late Spring or early Summer then you are in for a treat, as Amy is particularly fond of this time of year at The Old Coach House with our courtyard garden filled with heavenly scented lavender. As you walk along the pathways to the guest accommodation the scent accompanies you along the way.
If your stay is to explore this sleepy little village in the heart of North Yorkshire, then we ask that you take Amy’s favourite walk into account along the stunning river on The Old Coach House’s doorstep. There’s no better way to finish a day than taking a stroll across the road to The Staveley Arms to pick up Amy’s favourite dish, Fish and Chips.
The Old Coach House just wouldn’t be right without you Amy!
