Autumn Wellness Walks

Feel the leaves crunch beneath your feet with Autumn Wellness Walks at Thorp Perrow. These two-hour sessions let you take in the sights, and there’s even time for refreshments and journaling. Stretch your legs with host Faith Douglas from 9am on October 12 and November 23.

Autumn Colours Photography Workshop with Clive Nichols

Ever wondered how you can enhance your photography to professional standards? There’s no time like autumn to capture the awe-inspiring beauty of nature, so learn from this session with Clive Nichols. Britain’s best garden photographer shares his wisdom at Thorp Perrow on October 19.

Fountains by Floodlight

Longer nights don’t mean the festivities have to stop. Fountains Abbey promises an after-dark experience not to forget with Fountains by Floodlight on October 22 and 29. Watch the ruins glow to the sound of choral music, great for those photo moments.

Autumn Carnival Garden Trail

The perfect outing for the kids, RHS Harlow Carr is running its Autumn Carnival Garden Trail between October 23 and 31. Wander around the gardens looking for creepy crawlies, take part in workshops, learn circus skills and much more. Walks take place throughout the day from 9:30 am to 5pm.

Wellbeing Workshops

As part of the Autumn Carnival Harlow Carr is offering Wellbeing Workshops on October 27. Head to the Bramall Learning Centre at 11am, 1pm or 3pm to learn more about creativity and self-care, as taught by wellbeing studio Enchanticas.

Fungus Foray

Back at Thorp Perrow, Dr Keith Thomas is ready to take you through to the Arboretum and introduce you to the world of fungi. Ideal for kids, the tour features fungi picking, identifying what’s safe to eat. This two-hour tour runs on November 7 from 10am, and caters for groups of up to six people.
