Welcome to the first update of the season! Whether you’re a returning guest or planning your first stay, we hope this message finds you well and enjoying the year so far.
Just like the weather, things are warming up
here at The Old Coach House.
We’ve already welcomed many of you for nights away and short breaks and what a glorious start to summer it’s been all across the UK. While the rivers may be benefitting from the recent rain, our guests have still been making the most of the many fantastic attractions right on our doorstep.
North Stainley village alive with the
sights and sounds of the season.
This year’s ducklings and goslings are growing quickly and can often be seen taking over the village ponds and stopping traffic. Meanwhile, the local cricket teams are enjoying a strong start to their season – it certainly feels like summer is in full swing already!
A Warm Hello from Your New
Manager – Josie Evans
As of April 1st, I’ve officially taken over as Manager, here at the Old Coach House. Having met many of you over the last couple of years, I’m thrilled to step into the role and am committed to not just maintaining our standards but trying to raise them even further. Yorkshire born, I returned to the County after six years in Cornwall, where I managed the retail operations at Cornish Orchards – running their shop and setting up their tours on their Duchy Orchard and Cider Farm.
I’m passionate about quality local produce, sustainability and supporting local, independent businesses. I’m pleased to share that Rosebud Preserves, Masham now supply our delicious jams and marmalades at breakfast. I am trying, where possible, to reduce the use of single use items – so no more individual jam pots. I’m also sourcing local toiletries and look forward to introducing them in our next update.
